Shipping Policy

Last Updated: 22 August 2026

At Container Sales Australia, we aim to provide reliable and transparent delivery services for our customers across Australia. This Shipping Policy explains our delivery process, estimated timeframes, delivery requirements, and responsibilities.

1. Australia-Wide Delivery

Container Sales Australia can arrange delivery of eligible products to customers across Australia.

Delivery availability and conditions may vary depending on:

  • Product type and size.

  • Customer location.

  • Regional or remote location.

  • Road and site access.

  • Transport availability.

  • Freight requirements.

  • Local restrictions.

  • Product availability.

Where a product is advertised as eligible for free delivery, the free-delivery offer applies subject to the product, location, access, and delivery conditions outlined in this policy.

2. Free Delivery

Free delivery is available on eligible products and eligible delivery locations.

Free delivery does not necessarily apply to every product, location, or delivery circumstance.

Additional freight charges may apply where delivery requires:

  • Remote or difficult-to-access locations.

  • Specialised transport.

  • Additional handling equipment.

  • Crane or lifting services.

  • Re-delivery due to unsuitable site access.

  • Additional transport kilometres or services outside the standard delivery arrangement.

  • Special permits or other requirements.

Where additional delivery charges are identified before dispatch, we will advise the customer before proceeding wherever reasonably practicable.

Nothing in this section limits any rights available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law.

3. Order Processing

Orders are generally processed within 1–2 business days after payment has been successfully received and the order has been confirmed.

Orders placed after our daily order cut-off time may be processed on the next business day.

Order Cut-Off Time

Our standard order cut-off time is:

3:00 PM AEST, Monday to Friday

Orders placed after the cut-off time, or on weekends or public holidays, will generally be processed on the next business day.

Order processing times are estimates and may vary depending on product availability and order requirements.

4. Estimated Delivery Timeframes

For eligible products and standard delivery locations, estimated delivery timeframes are generally:

Order Processing: 1–2 business days
Estimated Transit: 2–5 business days
Estimated Total Timeframe: 3–7 business days

These timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless a specific delivery timeframe has been agreed in writing.

Remote, regional, interstate, difficult-access, or specialised deliveries may take longer.

5. Delivery Coordination

For large or heavy products, including shipping containers, portable buildings, and other specialised equipment, our team or transport provider may contact you before delivery.

We may confirm:

  • Delivery address.

  • Site access.

  • Preferred delivery date.

  • Road conditions.

  • Available unloading area.

  • Delivery vehicle requirements.

  • Site restrictions.

  • Any special delivery requirements.

Customers should remain available to coordinate delivery and provide accurate contact information.

6. Customer Delivery Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is suitable and safely accessible for the relevant transport vehicle and equipment.

Before delivery, customers should ensure:

  • The delivery address is accurate.

  • Roads and access points are suitable for the delivery vehicle.

  • Gates and entrances are sufficiently wide.

  • There is sufficient clearance for the delivery vehicle and container.

  • Overhead power lines, trees, structures, and other obstacles do not prevent safe delivery.

  • The ground is reasonably firm and suitable for unloading.

  • Any required permits or local approvals have been obtained.

  • The delivery area is clear of vehicles, equipment, materials, and other obstructions.

Customers should advise us before delivery of any known access restrictions or site hazards.

7. Shipping Container Delivery

Shipping containers are large and heavy products and require suitable transport equipment.

Depending on the container and delivery location, delivery may require specialised equipment such as a tilt-tray truck or other suitable transport vehicle.

The customer must ensure there is sufficient space for the transport vehicle to safely access the delivery location and unload the container.

Where a container cannot be delivered because the site is inaccessible or unsafe, additional transport or re-delivery costs may apply where permitted by law.

8. Remote and Regional Deliveries

Delivery to regional and remote locations may require additional planning and may have different delivery timeframes.

Factors that may affect remote or regional deliveries include:

  • Distance from transport depots.

  • Road conditions.

  • Freight availability.

  • Vehicle availability.

  • Local access restrictions.

  • Weather conditions.

  • Regional transport schedules.

Where additional freight charges apply to a remote or regional delivery, we will advise the customer before dispatch where reasonably practicable.

9. Heavy Freight and Specialised Deliveries

Some products require specialised freight arrangements due to their size, weight, dimensions, or unloading requirements.

These products may include:

  • Shipping containers.

  • Portable buildings.

  • Site accommodation units.

  • Refrigerated containers.

  • Container pools.

  • Heavy equipment.

  • Other oversized products.

Additional equipment or services may be required depending on the delivery site.

Customers should contact us before ordering if they are unsure whether their site can accommodate the required delivery vehicle.

10. Delivery Access and Failed Delivery

If a delivery cannot be completed because the customer has not provided suitable access, accurate delivery information, or a safe delivery location, the transport provider may need to leave the site without completing delivery.

Where permitted by law, additional costs may apply for:

  • Re-delivery.

  • Waiting time.

  • Additional transport.

  • Storage.

  • Site access issues.

  • Additional unloading requirements.

We will communicate with the customer where reasonably practicable to resolve delivery issues.

11. Delivery Delays

Delivery timeframes are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

  • Severe weather.

  • Flooding.

  • Bushfires.

  • Road closures.

  • Traffic conditions.

  • Freight delays.

  • Transport availability.

  • Supplier delays.

  • Public holidays.

  • Mechanical failures.

  • Industrial action.

  • Government restrictions.

  • Other unforeseen circumstances.

Where a significant delay occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate the updated delivery information to the customer.

Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Inspection on Delivery

Customers should inspect their products as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery.

For shipping containers and other large products, customers should check for any obvious transport damage or significant issues.

If you identify an issue, please contact us as soon as reasonably practicable and provide photographs or videos where possible.

Prompt notification helps us investigate the issue with the transport provider or supplier.

Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

13. Damaged Goods

If a product appears to have been damaged during delivery, please:

  1. Photograph the product and any visible damage.

  2. Record the delivery details where available.

  3. Contact Container Sales Australia as soon as reasonably practicable.

  4. Provide your order or invoice number.

  5. Provide photographs or videos showing the issue.

We will assess the circumstances and determine the appropriate next steps in accordance with applicable law and our Refunds & Returns Policy.

14. Delivery Acceptance

Where practical, customers should ensure that an authorised person is available to receive the delivery.

If the customer is unavailable, alternative delivery arrangements should be agreed with us or the transport provider beforehand.

Delivery may be considered completed when the product has been delivered to the agreed delivery location, subject to any applicable consumer rights and the circumstances of the delivery.

15. Third-Party Transport Providers

We may use independent transport and freight providers to deliver products.

Transport providers may contact customers directly to coordinate delivery.

Delivery schedules may be subject to the transport provider’s availability and operating requirements.

We will work with the relevant transport provider to resolve delivery issues where reasonably practicable.

16. Delivery to Difficult or Restricted Sites

Before ordering, customers should advise us if delivery is required to:

  • Narrow roads.

  • Steep properties.

  • Rural properties.

  • Construction sites.

  • Industrial sites.

  • Areas with restricted vehicle access.

  • Locations with low overhead clearance.

  • Areas requiring special permits.

  • Locations requiring unusual unloading arrangements.

We may require additional information about the site before confirming delivery.

17. Public Holidays and Weekends

Orders are generally processed and delivered on business days.

Public holidays and weekends may affect order processing and delivery timeframes.

Where a public holiday occurs during the estimated delivery period, the delivery timeframe may be extended accordingly.

18. Tracking and Delivery Updates

Where tracking information is available, we may provide delivery or freight information to the customer.

For large freight and shipping containers, traditional parcel tracking may not be available.

In these circumstances, the transport provider or our team may contact you directly to arrange delivery.

19. Address Changes

Customers should carefully check their delivery address before completing an order.

If you need to change the delivery address after placing an order, contact us as soon as possible.

Address changes may not be possible after the order has been dispatched or allocated to a transport provider.

Additional freight costs may apply where an address change results in additional transport or handling requirements.

20. Delivery Charges and Refunds

Where delivery is included in the advertised product price or offered as free delivery, the applicable delivery terms will be shown on the relevant product page or communicated before order confirmation.

Where a separate delivery charge applies, it will be communicated to the customer before the order is finalised where reasonably practicable.

If an order is cancelled, returned, or refunded, any delivery or freight charges will be handled in accordance with our Refunds & Returns Policy and applicable Australian law.

21. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Shipping Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where a product or service fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, customers may have rights to a repair, replacement, refund, cancellation, or compensation depending on the circumstances.
